I chose to study Japanese because I love Japanese music and food. My favorite Japanese musicians are FreeTEMPO and Daishi Dance. I also enjoy eating Japanese food like sushi or ramen; one of my favorite restaurants near Columbia is Sunchan, a Japanese restaurant. The Japanese language is also relevant to me in that some of the Korean language is influenced by the Japanese language. For instance, 'kaban,' which means 'bag,' in Korean is 'gabang,' which is very similar.
So far, the first week of Japanese class has been great! Although I am still a beginner, and just had finished memorizing the Hiragana, I hope I can be comfortable with the language soon.
Hihi~
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to pop in and agree that it's interesting to find words that are similar between Japanese and Korean languages. I grew up listening to J-pop and recently started listening to K-pop, so noticing the similarities and differences with the understanding that they came from Chinese is something I have fun looking out for.
Btw, is FreeTEMPO the same person who did this remix?

Yes I think so!! Do you like them as well?
